Opening event: Antenna Testing Facility, Space Simulation Chamber & Cometlab Makerspace

Programme

On 12 May you will have the opportunity to visit 3 new facilities, with a tour and experts attending per location for all questions concerning using the facilities.

The programme will start at 14:00 with an introduction by TESTAR about the facilities. After the start, there will be tours** to all 3 facilities. Each location will offer a short explanation by an expert and a chance to have a look inside. Questions and answers can be discussed with the attending experts and after the tours at SBIC.

The programme will be closed by Meindert Stolk, Regional Minister Economy and Innovation Provincie Zuid-Holland.

Food and Drinks are offered by TESTAR, offering Spanish food and wine, brought in person from Spain.

Facilities

This event is interesting for any potential user (startups, company, students, lecturers, professors, researchers, ESA staff and scientists) of the following facilities:

  1. TESTAR Small Antenna Test Facility by Asysol

Professional antenna measurement services using its Compact Range Test Chamber. This containerized outdoor facility (anechoic chamber) delivers fast, repeatable RF characterization—supporting measurements of antenna gain, radiation patterns (co and cross-polar), polarization, and other key parameters in a controlled anechoic environment, with simpler access and logistics than traditional indoor facilities.

  1. Thermal Vacuum Chambers by Stellar Space Industries

An AS9100-certified company specializing in high-precision manufacturing and engineering services for the (aero)space industryexpanding its testing capabilities by providing thermal vacuum (TVAC) testing. This facility enables companies and researchers to perform critical environmental testing of space systems and components under representative space conditions, with short turnaround times.

  1. CometLab Fabrication Laboratory Prototype facilities by Stichting Cometlab

Fast and affordable experimentation, prototyping, manufacturing and meeting facilities. Availability of space related equipment and materials and opportunities for workshops, courses, lectures and trainings on relevant space topics.
